Animal Kingdom

My favorite park of the three Disney World parks we visited was Animal Kingdom. It was really beautiful. It's like the Wild Animal Park meets Disneyland. And the rides were great. It was also The Kid's favorite place and he got to visit it on his birthday. If you tell them at the front gate it's your birthday they will give you a pin to put on your shirt and the people who work there will wish you a happy birthday all day.

The Tree of Life has animals carved all over it. The Bug's Life show is underneath it.
The park revolves around this giant man-made tree. The best fast food place in the park is right by its base. The Flame Tree Barbecue has really good BBQ beef sandwiches. I heard there are a lot of really good restaurants here too. There were a lot of really clean eating areas around the tree also. It felt like we were eating in China by a beautiful lake.
A view of Expedition Everest from Asia.
I wish I had more pictures of the Asia and Africa sections of the park. They were amazing. In Africa we went on the Kilimanjaro Safaris. The animals roamed free and were divided from us by large trenches that we couldn't see from the realistic safari truck we were riding in. The truck is not on tracks, it's a real truck with a driver actually driving it through rivers and rough roads.
The animals on the Safaris ride in Africa were in their natural habitats.

A tiger in Asia drinking from a fountain.
There were a few trails that we followed in Africa and Asia that we saw all kinds of animals. There was also a train that took us to a petting corral.
Our favorite ride, Expedition Everest.
We loved the roller coaster, Expedition Everest. It was The Kid's favorite roller coaster. The line was fun also because we got see all the things you would need to climb the real Everest and facts about it. We made good use of our fast passes here. If you don't know about fast passes and you are visiting Disney soon make sure you find out. They make crowded parks a lot easier. You can get a ticket to come back later and use the fast pass line, which takes about 5 minutes. Ask about it at the parks.
Our favorite show, It's Tough to be a Bug.
This show is really fun for all ages. It's a 4-D show based on the Bug's Life movie. It is also at California Adventure in Disneyland. At Animal Kingdom it's located beneath the Tree of Life, which makes it even cooler.

We did a lot at this park. I only covered our favorites in this review. It's definitely an all day experience. I could have spent two days there if I had my way, but we only had 8 days on this trip.

Summing up the trip, we had so much fun. It was exhausting and expensive, but totally worth it. If I had to do it again, I would go back to Islands of Adventure (including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter) and Animal Kingdom.
