Sometimes getting lost can be a good thing. Especially when you're in Paris. Sorry I'm jumping around a bit. I do have more about the Loire Valley, but I'll save it for later.
We spent the last two days of our trip back in Paris on the little island of St. Louis. It is a piece of land connected to the city by several bridges.
After we explored Notre Dame and Sainte-Chapelle we went shopping at La Samarinetine. And we got lost in this immense department store trying to find the roof. After a really long time, we found it. It was really windy up there, but the view was amazing, even better than the Eiffel Tower, unfortunately it was so windy it was hard to see.

Then we walked around the city, got lost, then took the subway and got lost again. Martha and I had split from Desperado that afternoon. He had quite a tale of his own getting lost. He wandered in on a rehearsal for an opera performance later that night in a beautiful little chapel. He also found a few antiques at a little shop. Sometimes it's good to just get lost.
**The dates on our camera got a little messed up. It's still the same trip.
