A Room with a View

One of the best things about traveling in France is the incredible hotels you find there. One night we stayed at a Chateau that sat on 30 acres next to a river. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with a turret. The view from the window was breathtaking.

The beautiful Loire Valley
Unfortunately I can't remember the name of this Hotel, but I know we were somewhere close to Tours, France. We had breakfast in our room that morning before heading to the train station in Tours. Breakfast consisted of a croissant, a little yogurt and the best hot chocolate I've ever had.

A night or two before we left the Loire Valley we stayed at the Chateau de Pray, a 17th century chateau. It was a very cool place we found in Amboise, France.

Most of the places we stayed at were found in Rick Steves' travel books. The first one I talked about was booked by our travel agent. They were all spectacular!
